Charlie Edward Bell

Charlie Edward Bell, 61, of Fort Meade, Florida, formerly of Tamaroa, passed away at 9:05 A.M., Wednesday, February 12, 2003 at his residence.
Charlie was an electrical consultant with Minserco in Fort Meade, Florida and a retired Master Sergeant with the U.S. Marine Corps., serving during the Vietnam Conflict.  He was a member of First Christian Church in Tamaroa and attended First Baptist Church of Bowling Green, Florida.  He was a lifetime member of V.F.W., member of Elks Lodge, Moose Lodge, American Legion, Masons, and Shriners.
He was born June 23, 1941 at Tamaroa, IL, the son of Russell and Vera Mae (Laur) Bell Jr.
He is survived by his wife - Virginia Elizabeth (McCann) Bell, one son - Steven Centore of New York, four daughters - Cherie Bell Twist and Melissa Bell, both of West Frankfort, IL, Deborah Bayliss and Teri Centore, both of Omaha, NE, one sister - Doris June Klamm of Du Bois, IL, nine grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Friends called from 5:30 to 8:30 P.M., Saturday, February 15, 2003 at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin.

Mr. Bell's wishes were to be cremated after the visitation.
